How I Paid the Price for Bone Spurs
The Beginning β Complacency
3 years ago, I started feeling back pain. Thought it was just from walking and moving around too much.
The biggest mistake men make: thinking they can handle anything.
The Incident β Breaking Point
One day riding on the back of a motorcycle taxi over a bumpy bridge β my back nearly "collapsed."
After that day, I was bedridden for days. No improvement. Had to see a doctor.
Diagnosis β Starting to Worry
Doctor's conclusion: Spinal osteophytes L3-4-5. Prescribed medication.
Medicine helped β somewhat. Stopped taking it β pain returned. Doctor increased dosage.
I started worrying: If this continues, what about my liver and kidneys?
The Cycle β Trying Everything
Bear bile massage oil β relief only while applying, pain returns after.
Hot oil β skin burns, pain remains.
Pain didn't decrease. Worry increased.
Despair β Pain Everywhere
- Carrying things β painful
- Not moving β still painful
- Driving, sitting at computer β painful
- Lying down too long β still painful
Negative thoughts began:
"Am I, at only 55, already living like a disabled person?"
